"To.is" Torino Creativity Workshop 2008
The To.is Torino Creativity Workshop will take place in Torino (October 15th to 28th, 2008): the workshop is organised by PAIDEIA Foundation (Torino) in partnership with the Association Foerdern durch Spielmittel (Berlin) and under the patronage of the Italian and the German Commissions for UNESCO.
The event is also part of the Turin 2008 World Design Capital. For two weeks, 20 participants will live and work together in close contact with children with special needs to develop new toys that encourage play and also fulfill therapeutic goals. The most interesting toy models will be selected and refined for an easy and affordable “do-it-yourself” manual to be used by parents and care providers.
The participants will be selected from diverse countries and with different professional backgrounds – designers, architects, artists, therapists, toy makers, psychologists, teachers and students. During the event, experts will help the participants realize their toy models.
Application deadline is June 20, 2008.
